71 Degrees North, a fantastic production house in Chicago, was producing this TV ad spotlighting St. Mary’s being named among the top five percent of hospitals in the nation for joint replacement. I worked with Neha Datt Schultz and Martin Rodahl. The ad featured scenes of a middle aged man living a full life after a knee replacement, and I was his voice.
A typical frustration on projects like this: the client wants you to come across as a real person, but their script is full of so many words, you can’t actually sound very “real,” moving at a fast pace. Not so with this ad. My thanks to 71 Degrees North for being “real” about the script, for including me, and to Voice123 for connecting us.
